For hygiene reasons: Before first use, keep the pacifier immersed in boiling water for 5 minutes. Let it cool. If a little water enters the breast shield, remove it by compressing it slightly. Then, before each use, clean the pacifier with soapy water and rinse it with clear water. Never dip the breast shield in sugary substances (risk of tooth decay) or medication.
For your child's safety: Before each use, carefully examine the pacifier. Pull the pacifier in all directions. Discard it at the slightest sign of deterioration or fragility.
The pacifier should not be exposed to direct sunlight or near a heat source, nor even be soaked for too long in a disinfectant liquid (sterilizing solution) which could weaken the teat. In general, for safety and hygiene reasons, it is recommended to replace the pacifier after 2 months of use.
