Place the toothbrush along the gum line so that it forms a 45° angle. The strands must come into contact with the surface of the teeth but also with the gumline. Without exerting excessive pressure, brush the outer surface of 2 or 3 teeth in a rotating motion from the gums towards the teeth. Repeat this movement on the next group of 2 or 3 teeth. While continuing to hold the toothbrush at a 45° angle with the bristles in contact with the surface of the teeth and the gumline, perform the same motion to thoroughly brush the inner surface of all teeth. Tilt the toothbrush vertically behind the front teeth. Make several up and down strokes using the end of the toothbrush head. Position the toothbrush on the surface of the occlusal surfaces - those used for chewing - of the teeth in a two-way motion. Brush your tongue starting at the back and working your way forward to remove bacteria that cause bad breath.
