The tablets are to be swallowed during meals with a glass of water.
In adults and children over 30 kg, the usual dose is 1 tablet of 400 mg, to be renewed every 6 hours. The maximum dose is 3 tablets per day, i.e. 1200 mg per day.
The dose should be reduced in the elderly due to the risk of adverse effects.
The duration of treatment is 3 days in case of fever and 5 days in case of pain.
To treat migraine, ibuprofen is reserved for adults with a dosage of 1 tablet 400 mg taken as soon as possible from the onset of the crisis. After 8 hours, if this tablet has not had an effect, a second intake is possible, provided that this 8-hour interval is respected. A second tablet cannot be taken during the same crisis if the first tablet fails, but this crisis can be treated with another medication other than non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and aspirin.
The duration of treatment is 3 days.
