Lemon balm ( Melissa officinalis )

Originally from Asia Minor and used since ancient Greece, lemon balm, a small perennial shrub, was introduced to France in the Middle Ages. Its leaves give off, when crushed, a very sweet lemony smell.

Lemon balm is traditionally used for its relaxing and sedative properties as well as for its action on the symptoms of mild gastrointestinal disorders , in particular bloating and flatulence .

Oral route. Swallow the capsule with a large glass of water.

Adults :

• 1 capsule 3 times a day to be taken with meals. The dosage can be increased to 5 capsules per day if necessary.
• The duration of treatment is 1 month. If symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks while using this medication, consult a doctor or pharmacist.
• In children, a sleep disorder requires a medical consultation.
