• Carotenoids:

Lycopene belongs to the family of carotenoids, and is a naturally occurring pigment in tomatoes and watermelon. It is an antioxidant that helps protect cells from oxidative stress and free radicals. It was only towards the end of the ^19th century that a researcher named Harsten separated lycopene from tomatoes, it was then necessary to wait until the middle of the ^20th century for the properties of lycopene to be identified and the end of the 90 so that they are known to all ¹ .

Lutein and zeaxanthin belong to the family of carotenoids, which are lipophilic plant pigments responsible for the yellow and red colors found in nature such as fruits, vegetables, flowers and autumn leaves. For example, the bright yellow color of corn is due in part to lutein ² .

Beta-carotene is the best known compound of the carotenoid group. As a pigment, it makes flowers more attractive to insects, it is mainly known for its presence in certain fruits and vegetables such as carrots, mangoes, apricots ³ …

Piperine (phytoperine) increases the bioavailability of beta-carotene. Black pepper (Piperaceae family) is one of the most widely used spices in the world, well known for its pungent compound, piperine. Piperine is the main active ingredient in pepper ⁴ .

• Vegetable oils:

In addition to carotenoids of vegetable origin, Phytobronz® contains vegetable oils which are used to help preserve the elasticity and suppleness of the skin, for sublimated skin:

Borage oil ( Borago officinalis L.): Borage is a Mediterranean plant, when it was discovered in the Middle Ages, its use was not cosmetic at the time ⁵ . It is now used for its various properties related to the skin, in particular it restores suppleness and elasticity.

Argan oil ( Argania spinosa (L.): these are the seeds of the argan tree, a tree growing in southern Morocco, which are used to produce argan oil. The name Argan comes from a small village in Morocco called "Argana".This oil is traditionally used for skin care in the nutricosmetic field, it has nourishing properties and restores suppleness to the skin.

Sesame oil ( Sesamum indicum L.): sesame is part of the oilseed family and comes from Asia. Particularly fond of the Middle East, sesame is widely used in cooking, it is also used in the form of oil in nutricosmetics because it has interesting properties such as the suppleness of the skin.

• Vitamins and minerals:

Selenium (Se): Selenium will act as an antioxidant.

Copper (Cu): contributes to the pigmentation of the skin.

Vitamin A : helps maintain healthy skin

Vitamin E : helps protect the skin from oxidative stress induced in particular by UV radiation. It is recognized as an essential nutritional element for humans, and has antioxidant properties.

• Take 1 capsule per day with meals, at least 15 days before, during and after exposure to the sun or artificial UV.

• Avoid exposing yourself to the hours of maximum sunlight,
• Use a suitable protective cream,
