In all cases :
Clean the wound with an alcohol-free antiseptic. Rinse with water or saline solution. In the case of a burn, never use colored antiseptics of the eosin type.
Dry carefully with a sterile compress.
As far as possible, respect the blister which is a bulwark against infection. If it gets punctured, disinfect it. There is no point in removing dead skin if it does not go away on its own.
Remove the protective fins.
Apply to the area to be treated. In the case of tulle alone, if necessary cut it to the desired size using clean and disinfected scissors, then cover it with a secondary dressing of the sterile compress type held in place by a stretch band or a plaster.
The use of a cream beforehand is useless. The usual duration of treatment is 5 to 6 days with renewal of the 1st dressing after 24 hours, then every 48 hours.
PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Reserved for the treatment of localized wounds, the size of which does not exceed the format of a compress. On extensive burns, it is desirable that the compress overflows widely to allow the absorption of exudates. If you do not see any improvement in healing after 6 days, consult your doctor. For any burns in children, ask your pharmacist or doctor for advice. In the presence of clinical signs of local infection (redness extending to uninjured skin, pain, etc.), foreign bodies in the wound, significant bleeding, bite, puncture with a sharp and/or soiled object, consult your pharmacist or doctor. The URGO BURN and SUPERFICIAL WOUNDS dressing or tulle must be used as soon as the sachet is opened, store away from light. Paraffin can be absorbed by dressings, clothing and/or bedding and ignite very quickly. Anyone using or applying a medical device for dermatological use containing paraffin must stay away from fire until the skin and/or clothing and bedding that have been in contact with it are properly cleaned.
