Do not force the brush head into tight spaces:
- a slight inclination from bottom to top must be maintained for the lower arch and from top to bottom for the upper arch
- then perform several delicate horizontal movements while preventing the interdental brush from coming out of the interdental spaces.
If wearing orthodontic appliances : interdental brushes are particularly recommended for cleaning the interdental spaces and the wire of the orthodontic archwire and whenever there are large interdental spaces. Cleaning should be done with gentle inward and outward movements, avoiding excessive pressure on the rod. Choose an interdental brush size suitable for the gaps to be cleaned.
In case of implant : use an interdental brush to clean the pins and the part located under the prosthesis. Gently insert it between one pin and another then clean with a gentle movement inside and out.
In the case of a bridge : use an interdental instrument adapted to the interdental spaces affected by the bridge. Clean by inserting the interdental brush from the cheek side and the tongue side.
